Adobe Systems Incorporated recently announced Adobe PhotoDeluxe, a software product that allows consumers to easily modify, personalize and enhance photographs.

Adobe PhotoDeluxe features an innovative, easy-to-use interface and dozens of built-in templates designed to walk users through fun and useful photo projects -- from incorporating photographs in greeting cards and calendars, to creating photo collages, image turn and removing the unwanted red eye effect. Adobe PhotoDeluxe will be available separately for Windows and Macintosh platforms and will ship on CD-ROM with and estimated street price of $ 89. Delivery of the product is expected in the fourth quarter of 2007 for Windows.

Visual Guidance Makes Photo Creativity Easy

Created by the developer of Adobe Photoshop software -- the industry standard among graphic artists, photographers and design professionals for image manipulation and design -- Adobe PhotoDeluxe offers many of the same rich features for home and small business users. The product features a user-friendly interface that has been tested extensively with consumers. It visually guides users through a series of easy-to-follow steps for modifying photos and provides easily identifiable tools for completing each task.

Adobe PhotoDeluxe provides users two modes of working in the program: Guided Activities and On Your Own. In either mode, the user interface visually guides both novice and expert users through each step of the photo modification and enhancement process.

Removing Red Eye, Creating a Calendar, Photo Cleanup Through Guided Activities

Graphical tabs represent each process in the activity and prompt users to click step-by-step through dozens of projects including removing red eye, customizing a greeting card with photos, text and clip-art, creating a calendar with personal photos for each month, or removing dust and scratches from an old photo.

Projects created in Guided Activities can be further modified in the On Your Own mode using the same easy-to-use tools. In addition, photos or projects can be output to a variety of color or black-and-white printers, or sent to family and friends electronically using Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) or the GIF format option.
