Adjusting Image Brightness And Other Features

Ulead Systems, Inc., a leading developer of imaging, video and Internet software, announced recently it is now shipping a new version of Photo Express, its consumer photo editing software. Photo Express v2.0 has a complete new friendly look for the novice image editing user, yet offers many sophisticated features and special effects that can make any project look professional.
"With Photo Express v2.0, Ulead has delivered the new benchmark for consumer image editors in 2006. Looking at our competitors to date, none can match the overall range and depth of functionality within Photo Express v2.0," said Liming Chen, president, Ulead Systems, Inc. "Ulead believes most of today's users have outgrown the limitations of simple card templates and hand- holding interfaces, and desire a richer, higher quality photo editing experience including image brightness. Photo Express v2.0 is the right tool for this customer."

Ulead Photo Express v2.0 offers users more options for getting started quickly with photo editing, including a one-click feature that automatically applies standard post-processing techniques for fast photo refinishing. Or to start a project quickly, Ulead offers more than 300 templates, including 60 calendar formats that can be selected, and then modified for a personal touch. Ulead's Smart Template(TM) technology remembers specific settings for each template, which can be used over and over again. And, to encourage experimentation, version 2.0 has 10 levels of undo and redo.

For those who want unlimited creative options, Ulead Photo Express v2.0 has many new special effect features. First, Ulead offers a number of professional tools available to the user with one icon click. Users can set up their own studio by choosing lighting, colors and light intensity. A new particle system turns a sunny day into a rainy one or a snowstorm. Photos can be warped with effects like ripple and whirlpool, and a complete gallery of ready-to-use objects, from holidays and animals to nature and signs, can add sparkle to any picture. Second, users may add their own artistic style to their photos by "drawing on" their photos with paints, airbrushes, crayons, oils or bristle brushes. They can also write directly on the photo image by using a stamp, creating a neon sign, putting words on fire, or embossing them. Text can be bent out of shape or turned into 3D. A new PhraseBank(TM) stores all those clever sayings. And for ultimate control, Photo Express v2.0 supports pressure sensitive pen and tablets. Third, users can finish off their photos in a unique way with more than 20 different cropping shapes and adding classy or text edge frames. Finally, users can now share their photos over the Internet. Images can be downloaded from online photo processing centers, shared by email or posted to a Web page. Users can also create an HTML thumbnail Web page complete with music and a background interface.
